Located in ideal golfing country, this 6,616 yard, par 72 undulating course was designed by Seve Ballesteros and Dave Thomas. The layout meanders through the silver birches, firs, heaths and heathers which are natural to the area with each hole presenting the golfer with a different challenge. Considering the designers, it's no wonder the course features a succession of tournament-style holes including the difficult 4th with its two water hazards and the 6th, known for its cunningly placed bunker in front of the green. However, the 15th is widely acknowledged as the most spectacular hole. Aptly named The Waterfall, it is a mouth watering 165 yard par 3 set against a 40 foot rock face with a burn skirting the front of the green.

The Westerwood is situated in 400 secluded acres at the foot of the Campsie Hills yet is just 12 miles from Glasgow providing the best of both worlds on a short golf break.
